Deb Penk
Born in Wisconsin, my art journey began when my mom taped butcher paper to the wall, handed me crayons, and said, “Stay on the paper.” I never really did. From doodles in the margins to bold, colorful canvases full of humor and life, I’ve spent my days capturing the beautiful chaos of people and everyday moments. Somewhere between Norman Rockwell and Andy Warhol, I found my groove, Contemporary Graphic Realism with a twist. After years of teaching and a few bold leaps, I traded the classroom for the studio, where I still paint, laugh, and reach for the brightest cherries in the bowl.
My Techniques
Acrylic Bold, textured, and full of energy, acrylics are water-based paints which dry quickly, perfect for vibrant, expressive work.
Serigraphs & Lithographs Fine art prints made from original pieces. Serigraphs are silkscreens, each color hand pulled, applied layer by layer, while lithographs are machine pressed, each crafted with care and character.
Giclées High-quality reproductions printed on archival paper or canvas, capturing the color and texture of the original so precisely it’s hard to tell them apart.
